(More customer reviews)This camera is fantastic! I own a Nikon D80 and a Canon 50D both with high end non kit lenses and the NEX-5's af is just as fast and picture quality is at times much sharper. The 16mm lens is nice and fast with really great low light shots. I was at a museum recently with my friend, photography was allowed without flash, let me also note it was very dim inside and my NEX with the 18-55mm lens out performed his great big Canon kit, believe me when I say he was shocked when we compared pictures.
This is just the camera I have been waiting for. APS-C sized sensor, interchangeable lenses, removable flash, magnesium body and all weighing under a pound. Sigma has signed on to make a line of e-mount lenses as well as Carl Zeis. Sony is also releasing 7 more lenses in the upcoming year to total 10 for this camera as well as a larger flash and other accessories. This camera is so light that having it hang around your neck all day is not an issue. I would get so tired and sore lugging my 50D with a 17-40 lens around Paris or Berlin etc... Now I get just as great pictures and have no weight issues to deal with.
The Nex-5 is also very customizable whereas you can rearrange all the soft keys to fit your style of shooting. I like to shoot raw in aperture mode and have instant access to iso, mtering, and I get truly great results. I read some reviews regarding the menu system not being very user friendly, this must have been before the firmware change allowing you to customize. My wife loves the intelligent auto mode as the camera will create the perfect settings for any situation. It has smile detection with 3 different smile modes. Auto HDR takes 3 photos in different lighting modes and mergers them together in camera,( about 3 seconds) and gives you 2 photos, original and HDR so you can compare. HD movie mode is stunning crystal clear movies with stereo sound. Panoramic assist is also a really great feature. You can also for around $20., buy an adapter to attach your Nikon, Canon, Leica etc... lenses to your Nex camera. As you can tell, I really love my nex-5 from the weight to the picture quality, it is truly a great camera.

Communication was excellent and merchandise was as described. I felt very confident as they are authorized Sony resellers. Camera prices and warranties are the same as at Sony Style, but with the free shipping, no tax and all the name brand quality extras, it was just no comparison, I saved BIG Bucks at Focus Camera!!!
