(More customer reviews)We purchased this camera after my point and shoot finally bit the dust. I needed a camera for my son's 3rd birthday and only had two weeks to research and order one. I could have spent a hundred plus on another point and shoot just to have one handy, but my husband knew I had been wanting a better camera to learn with for a while and told me to just get the one I want. I LOVE this camera! I am not a professional and certainly don't use it to it's fullest potential, but I am learning more and more about how to use it and I have taken some really great pictures I could have never taken with my old camera. When I ordered it I was nervous about getting it in time for his birthday but it arrived a day earlier than expected. After reading so many reviews of different cameras I wasn't 100% sure this would be the camera for me, but I've known a few people with Canon DSLRs and everyone of them has been happy with their purchase. I am looking forward to practicing and learning all this camera can do and adding different lenses to it to get the shots I want. I do sometimes wish it were a bit smaller to carry around, but I'm always happy with the shots I get so lugging that thing around is the price I am happy to pay for the great memories I get to preserve!
